White sugar sand beaches. Orange Beach lies in the Baldwin County area of Alabama. The nearly 16 square miles of the city is perfectly situated along the Gulf of Mexico and has a population of approximately 6,000 residents.
The city of Orange Beach features Orange Beach Sportsplex, just a short distance from The Wharf is an entertainment district, featuring award-winning restaurants, upscale shopping, and bars. There are many award-winning restaurants in Orange Beach: Fishers, Cosmo’s, and Gilbey’s and of course the premier of Roadhouses: The FloraBama. You can stroll the area with a cocktail in hand. The Wharf also has an Amphitheater which hosts concerts all summer and Fall with acts like Keith Urban, Dave Mathews, and Wide Spread Panic.
For general recreation, Orange Beach offers many different opportunities. Condos are located on the beach and across the street for those family getaways. Enjoy some time at the beach or take in a dolphin cruise, fishing charter, or nature hike. Orange Beach is also host to the area’s largest Big Game Fishing Tournaments. Big boats, big fish, big money. For more activity, there are tennis and basketball courts as well as golf communities to take advantage of. Nightlife offers numerous options for dining, plays, free concerts, and dancing.
Education in Orange Beach falls under the Baldwin County Public School system. The elementary school is located in Orange Beach for K-6th grade. Middle school and high schoolers attend schooling in Gulf Shores, Alabama nearby. For higher-level education, Columbia Southern University is located in Orange Beach and is online-only.
The real estate runs from luxury high rise condo’s to single-family homes on prestigious, gated Ono Island to back bay beauties located on Bay St John. All of this convenient to The Pass…..which is the gateway to the Gulf.
