5 Ways To Make Selling Your Home Go Smooth

Everyone knows that the idea of selling your home can be overwhelming when you first start. There are a lot of things that need to be done as you mentally and physically prepare for the big move. However, it doesn’t have to be such a painful and cumbersome process. Here are five things that can help make selling your home a breeze!

Home Preparation

The first thing you will want to do is take care of the necessary decluttering, deep cleaning and repairs. Get rid of all unnecessary belongings from each room, give the entire home a thorough cleaning and fix of anything that needs repair. Give buyers the impression that the home has been well cared for.

Proper Staging

Once the home is clean and things are in good working order, now is the time to do some home staging. This means you will want to have just the right amount of items in each room and have each room arranged for its intended purpose. Put away that exercise bike and make sure the bed is set up and made in the guest room by way of an example. All furniture should be scaled appropriately for the room size and personal items should be tucked away.

Hire an Experienced Agent

Once the essentials are finished then it is time to contract with an experienced agent such as myself. I can help with furnishing you with important information about the current market in your area, work with finding the appropriate list price and also discuss any further modifications that may help sell your home.

Negotiate

These days multiple offers are still happening on listings here and there. If not at the same time, additional ones may come pretty quickly afterwards. When you receive an offer there is almost always some room for a little negotiation. Also keep in mind that the perfect deal isn’t always about the price that is offered. Devise your negotiations to get what you need which may also mean a timeframe that fits your next move.

Prepare For Paperwork

There is a lot of paperwork involved in a home sale transaction. Be prepared to deal with this from listing contract to offer, to purchase and sale to the closing documents. So long as you have all of your ducks in a row, it should not be too overwhelming. I can always be your guide for any questions that you have along the way!
